Privacy policy
The short version: our apps run entirely on your device, have no accounts and no analytics, and send us nothing. The only personal data BiDaFa Ltd holds about you is an email you have chosen to send us.
No BiDaFa app has been released yet. The sections below that describe the apps describe how the apps we are building are designed, and they apply from the day the first one is available to download.

BiDaFa Ltd is the data controller for this website and for the apps it publishes. Its registered details are a matter of public record and can be checked on the Companies House register:

The apps collect nothing
Our apps are designed to work entirely offline. They have no user accounts, no sign in and no sync. They do not collect, transmit or store personal data, and they send us no usage statistics, no telemetry and no crash reports.
There are no analytics, no advertising libraries, no trackers and no third party SDKs inside them. Your answers, your scores and your progress are held in the app's own storage on your device and are never sent anywhere. Deleting the app removes them from the device.
If your device backs itself up, a backup may contain that storage. Backups belong to you and are governed by the terms of whoever makes your device or provides the backup service, not by us, and we have no access to them.
Purchases are handled by the app store, not by us
Where an app of ours is paid for, the purchase is made through the app store you downloaded it from. Apple's App Store processes payment for our iOS apps under Apple's own privacy policy and terms, and if we later publish on Google Play the same applies to Google. We never see your card details, your billing address or your store account.
Restoring a purchase on another device also works through your store account. That check happens between your device and the store. It creates no account with us, and it tells us nothing about you.
This website
This site is a set of static files. It sets no cookies of its own, and it contains no analytics, no tracking scripts and no executable JavaScript. The only script element on any page holds the structured data that describes the company to search engines, and it does nothing when the page loads. Nothing here profiles you or follows you between pages.
It is hosted on GitHub Pages, so GitHub serves the files and keeps the standard server logs any web host keeps, which can include your IP address and the page you requested. Those logs are GitHub's, held under GitHub's own privacy statement. We do not receive them, we cannot read them, and there is no analytics account of any kind attached to this site.
If you email us
Emailing us is the only way you can give us personal data. When you do, we hold your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever is in your message, for as long as we need it to answer you and to keep a record of what we answered.
The mailbox is hosted on Google Workspace, so Google handles the mail for us as our service provider. Our lawful basis for holding your message is legitimate interest: you have written to us and you expect a reply.
We do not add you to a mailing list, we do not sell or share your message, and we use it only to reply to you and, where you have reported an error, to fix it.
Children
Our apps are study aids for occupational licensing and certification exams, which are taken by adults. They are not directed at children, and they collect nothing from anyone of any age.
Your rights
UK data protection law gives you the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to object to how we use it, and to be given a copy of it. Because the only personal data we hold is correspondence you started, in practice that means asking us about your emails.
Email the address below and we will deal with it. If you are not satisfied with how we respond, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the effective date at the top of this page changes with it. This site is built from a public repository, so every previous version of this text stays in that public history and can be compared against this one.
